Insect Hotels

The rain didn't stop us from having a great ECO afternoon! Ken from North Branch Nature Center joined us along with Abby and Cherylanne's dads, to continue our study of insects. We played an insect life cycle game, heard a story about an interesting aquatic insect from Vermont, and built "hotels" for insects. We dicussed how many insects will be hibernating or overwintering this year and might appreciate a cozy place to stay. The children had fun creating shelters for insects in the woods.
