The kids have all chosen a specific Vermont bird to research in class, and will use what they have learned to answer these questions about structure and function. In addition to science, there is a research and writing component in which students will create a page in a class "Bird Field Guide". Ask your child to tell you more about their bird!

Birds
Our last two ECO lessons have focused on learning about birds. Through observations, play, and targeted lessons, students will be able to answer questions about heredity such as "How are parent and offspring birds alike but not exactly alike?", and "What patterns of behavior help offspring survive?"
