Fire Protection Month

Did you know that October is National Fire Protection Month? Firefighters from the Montpelier Fire Department joined us on Monday to talk about fire safety. We discussed things at home that are hot (and shouldn't be touched), practiced how to get low if there is smoke, and to stop, drop, and roll if you have fire on you. We also watched Fire Fighter Thurston put on his gear to show us that we don't have to be afraid of fire fighters when they have their masks on. Please be sure to go over fire safety practices with your child and plan a safe meeting spot outside your home in case of a fire.  Thank you Montpelier Fire Department!
