Green Day!
We had a fun week reading a variety of Dr. Seuss books and had our final "Green Day" celebration at the end of the week. We took a survey as to who likes or does not like green eggs and ham, then cooked some to taste test. Mr. Bradley even joined us in the fun and tried our green eggs and ham and fresh green smoothies. Thank you to a Hunger Mountain COOP for donating the smoothie supplies and to Willa's mom, Diana, for the eggs! After finishing the story of Bartholomew and the Oobleck, the children got a little messy and played with some oobleck of our own. Everyone had an amazing day!

Green Day
I hope you had a relaxing and rejuvenating vacation with your families. It’s hard to believe that we have only three and a half months of Kindergarten left. The year has certainly flown by!
During the next few months, we will be very busy. Students will dive right into a Dr. Seuss integrated unit, a Tar Beach writing unit, a magnets unit in science, and begin looking closely at nonfiction through reading and writing text about Vermont Animals. In math we will continue developing number sense and apply this through solving picture and word problems about sea creatures and frogs.
To celebrate our Dr. Seuss unit and two of his books, Bartholomew and the Oobleck and Green Eggs and Ham, we will have a special day on Friday, March 15th called “Green Day”. Students can choose to wear the color green from head to toe! We will also be looking for eggs and ham donations! If you’d like to donate or help cook, let me know!
I’m also looking for Dr. Suess books. If you have any at home that we can borrow, please send them in with your child’s name clearly labeled inside.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
